Venetian Mirror
Magnificent and exceptionally tall old Venetian mirror, from France of the 1940s. Rectangular in shape and can be hung both horizontally or vertically, depending on your wishes. It is to date, the longest Venetian mirror we have had in the Fil de Fer.
Notice the georgeous patina in the mirrored glass and the beautiful pearl beading, around the frame, which elegantly reflects the light.
These elongated mirrors would often have hung in stately halls in old French chateaus and mansions, generally opposite the windows, in order to reflect the daylight as well as give a greater spacious feeling to the room.
