Soon after purchasing via Fil de Fer’s webshop, you will receive an email notifying you that we have received your order. We will then immediately work behind the scenes to find the required item. Once your specific item has been located, you will then receive an order confirmation, telling you that your purchase is available for collection, or alternatively providing you with confirmation that your item is ready to be collected by the transport service. It is only when you receive this emailed order confirmation that your purchase has gone through. Included with the order confirmation, you will receive your order number. We ask you kindly to use this order number as a reference for any further correspondence.
Please be advised that VAT is included in all Fil de Fer’s webshop prices. Kindly note that Danish VAT laws apply when purchasing from Fil de Fer, and therefore VAT is not deductable.
Fil de Fer’s webshop reserves the right to correct any inaccuracies in the webpage and/or concerning already sold items.
Fil de Fer webshop payment can be made via Visa/Dankort and international credit cards.
Standard added provider charges may be added for transactions via Dankort or international credit cards, where so required.

Collection and Delivery
Fil de Fer’s webshop offers you the following delivery options:
1. Fil de Fer delivery within Danmark
Fil de Fer deliver using their affiliated delivery company. We have regular and reliable transport partners, who will carry and deliver your purchases in a responsible and safe manner. In the unlikely event of damage/problems, they are of course fully insured. Delivery is within Denmark, including the islands connected by bridge.
Free transport for purchases above the value of 5,000 DKK.
For purchases below 5,000 DKK, you will receive a transport offer from Fil de fer.
2. Fil de Fer delivery abroad
Fil de Fer are happy to contact you and assist in coordinating transport options which best suit your requirements. We have regular transport partners, who will carry and deliver your purchases in a responsible and safe manner. In the unlikely event of damage/problems, they are of course fully insured.
Payment for delivery of your order should be settled directly with the delivery company.
3. Collection from Fil de Fer boutique
You collect your purchase directly from our boutique. When the item is ready to be collected, Fil de Fer will contact you. All Fil de Fer webshop purchases can be collected from our business address within our usual boutique opening hours.
4. Transport is arranged by you
You are welcome to contact transport companies independently. The transport company can then contact Fil de Fer, who are happy to assist with collection coordination.
Fil de Fer specialise in the sale of French vintage, exceptional antiques and unique old items, which we can 100% vouch for. Therefore our basic principle is that you purchase the item as seen. For this reason, any purchased items collected by you in person from our boutique are non returnable. You have 14 days to return items purchased via Fil de Fer’s webshop and which are collected by a transport company, only if they are returned in the same condition in which you received them. Payment for transporting returned items, is on the buyer’s account. We also require you to provide us with the relevant order number, which you received along with the order confirmation. Returned items requiring cash on delivery (COD) will not be accepted.
Should you wish to return a purchased item, we would appreciate this information as soon as possible. After all, each and every Fil de Fer item is unique, and it is possible another customer is interested in buying the very item you wish to return.
Security and Personal Information
Fil de Fer’s webshop uses a PBS-recognized and -certified payment system, where all purchase communication occurs via a secure and encrypted SSL connection. This ensures that unauthorised parties cannot see the data exchanged.
All personal information, which you provide via purchase from Fil de Fer’s webshop, is treated as confidential. No information (such as your email address for example) is passed on to third parties. However, we would be happy if you indicated interest in receiving our newsletter.
Right to Complain
We at Fil de Fer are committed to you having as good a shopping experience as possible. We
take pride in the items which we find and sell on to our customers. We do not sell anything, which we cannot vouch for completely. Of this we can ensure you.
