Tray Table
Whimsical and fun vintage American tray table, made of iron and with a hand-painted round serving tray. Dates back to the 1930s-40s, and was used at stalls selling popcorn, draft beer and strawberries.
The tray table originally originated from a travelling funfair and would have stood in front of a sales stall or beer tent during a show. How the table ended in France after World War II is not known but we have fallen for this fun colourful item and its history.
The table has a collapsible base that appears in an orange-red patinated paint and the round tray has an inscription concerning the sale of fresh strawberries.
The table would also work well in the kitchen or as a side table by a sofa / armchair, as it can be folded and put away if you want the space to be used for something else.
