Wedding Goblet
Elegant mouth-blown French wedding glass / challice, in a charming tulip design, with fine grooves in the side. Produced around 1880-1900.
Originally a wedding glass, it would now be super for a tealight or as a vase for a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
These large glasses, typically with inscriptions on the side, were often made as momentos for special occasions such as parties, weddings and exhibitions, etc. The large goblets, like this one, are given to the bridal couple and used for their wedding dinner, for communal bowls and kept the glass as a reminder of the big day.
