Wedding Goblet
Sought after and large antique wedding glass / chalice from France. Conical in form, and engraved with the text “souvenir de la fête” – (in memory of the party), as well as other charming ornamentation.
Dated back to circa 1880-1900, it would be lovely holding tealight, or as a vase for a charming bouquet of flowers.
These glasses were often produced for special occasions such as parties, weddings and exhibitions etc. Large goblets like this one were used by the bridal pair during their wedding dinner, for a communal toast, and then kept as a memento of the big day.
