Vase – Cerdazur
Fun, stylish, and sought-after unique mid century handmade and hand-coloured vase, from the Manufacture de Porcelaine de Monaco / Cerdazur. Lovely colourful floral motif, often decorated with 24 carat gold. The vase is made at one of the many small ceramic workshops in and around the Principality of Monaco and the Côte d’Azur.
Famous since the 1890s for its potters, it was the post-war period that really marked the emergence of several small workshops in this region, and an increasing popularity of this colourful pottery.
The majority of the decorations on these works are with motifs/reliefs of flowers and vine leaves, but the marine world also inspired more rare works of art.
