A lovely antique French glass pedestal dish with lid—known in French as a *drageoir*— and originally used to display *dragées* (sugar-coated chocolate almonds). In an era when chocolate was expensive and highly coveted, showcasing such sweets to guests was a matter of prestige.
Elegantly elevated on a pedestal base and featuring a lidded dome topped with a finial. Crafted from pressed glass with beautiful faceted cuts, it dates back to the pre 1890s.
The glass is in exquisite condition, boasting a graceful design, with an appealing and decorative look that radiates exceptional elegance.
