Candlestick-Poor Man’s Silver
Antique French poor man’s silver candlestick, in mouth-blown glass with charming mercury coating inside. This very elegant candlestick has pretty vine garland ornamental pattern remnants and beautiful patina in the glass, and the top has a copper/golden hue.
The candlestick dates back to before 1900 and was the common man’s alternative to expensive silverware. Nowadays however, poor man’s silver is almost as desirable as silverware and in demand among collectors.
Wonderful on its own, and yet also grouped with others, all varying in size and shape.
