Hat and Coat Stand THONET 1900
Handsome and practical antique Thonet hat and coat stand, from around 1900.
Also called PERRROQUET (The Parrot) which comes from the curved wooden hooks at the top resembling sticks or perches that a parrot would sit on.
Crafted with steam-bent beech wood, with 8 upper and 8 lower hooks and would have been typically used in bistros and cafés around France.
