Jieldé Table Lamp
Iconic old French industrial lamp by the brand Jieldé Lyon, designed by Jean Louis Domecq back in the 1950s. He was a former auto mechanic who needed a flexible and robust work light in his workshop.
Therefore, he developed this special lamp with its bendable ball joints.
The lamp became incredibly popular within French factory/industry and assembly, and also in architects’ and design studios. Later it appeared in private interiors.
Still produced and handmade in the city of Lyon.
This model has 1 short and 1 long arm, as well as an old car brake disc, mounted as a foot/base. Stripped of paint/varnish, has been given a new brushed matt finish and new wiring/electricity.
Very raw in expression and provides a perfect light as a work lamp/reading lamp.
