Bonbonniere
Antique French sweet glass jar, known as a “pot á bonbon”. Formed in mouth-blown glass with an accompanying dome lid with charming knob, in a rare deep blue hue.
The lovely containor is from approx. year 1890-1900, and originally came from a grocery store or patisserie/bakery near Lyon in France. The beautiful cylinder-shaped storage jar has previously contained various items such as candies, cookies, meringues and other sweet temptations.
Perfect as an atmospheric decorative accessory in the kitchen, for e.g. cookies, coffee capsules, flour and sugar and of course sweets. Or for cotton wool in a bathroom.
Kindly note that it has a small chip on the edge of the lid, see last picture.
