Table Lamp-Jieldé
Iconic old French industrial lamp by the brand Jieldé Lyon, designed by Jean Louis Domecq back in the 1950s. Domecq was a former auto mechanic who needed a flexible and robust work lamp in his workshop. That’s why he developed this very special lamp with its bendable ball joint.
The lamp became incredibly popular within the French factory/industry and assembly field, in architects’ and design studios and later it appeared in private interiors. The lamps are today still produced in France, where they are handmade in the city of Lyon.
This model has 4 long arms (40 cm, incl. one curved rare special arm) and an old iron disk that is mounted as a foot/base. The lamp has been stripped of paint/varnish, has been given a new brushed matt finish and new wiring/electricity. Very raw in expression and provides a perfect light as a work lamp/reading lamp.
