Charming vintage handmade cylindrical pottery jar, with a beautiful yellow tinted glaze. Circa 1900 from Lyon in France. Previously used for jam production and chestnut cream. Hence its name ‘pot de marmelade’. Even more atmosphereic is the original label, from the jam producers Noguier-Viennois, indicating that it was apricot jam.
Perfect as an evocative decorative piece of accessory in the kitchen, for cutlery and the like. Or perhaps a flower/herb plant pot.
