Earthenware Pot de Marmelade

Decorative larger sized  old pottery jar with a comforting pale yellow brown glaze from Lyon, France. Circa 1900s. Previously been used for jam production (hence being sometimes known as ‘pot a marmelade’), as well as Crème de Marrons – chestnut cream.

Delightful for kitchen utensils, herb plants and the suchlike.

We occasionally have several such items in our boutique, in varying sizes and shades, and they look wonderful grouped together.
