Archive Box

Fantastically beautiful antique Italian archiving boxes. Constructed in wood, circa 1880-1900. The filing boxes originated primarily from Florence, and would have stood on the shelves of notary and law firms in the beautiful Italian city. It was been the ring binder / correspondence keeper of the time, and the boxes have been used for storing paper documents and bills.

This box has a charming coloured spine, in brown shades, made in what is known as Venetian paper, which is an art form using water and coloured ink, and each box is closed with two pretty cotton ribbons. This one has a lovely pale grey body

Really lovely atmospheric storage box, that can hold A4 paper and can be used throughout the home, and brings a smile to the lips with its appearance, as the paper-covered cover still appears in very good condition both outside and inside.

Priced per piece.
